Definition of the job
This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical and process equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Key responsibilities include minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance, reading technical drawings (P&IDs), preparing reports, managing external vendors, and adhering to safety and quality standards to optimize productivity and reliability.
Activities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production, mechanical, and facility equipment (HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration) using technical drawings. Execute routine and preventive maintenance plans to minimize unplanned downtime and optimize machine efficiency. Assist operators in keeping machines running at target speeds and centerline conditions. Oversee external vendors, track inventory, and prepare maintenance/operational analysis reports. Ensure strict adherence to health, technical, food safety, and company standards.
Specific requirements for the work position
Qualifications and prerequisite:
MET 3 with five years’ working experience in the field of Mechanical Technician or HND in Mechanical Engineering with two years’ working experience in the field. Good knowledge in Trouble Shooting (Pneumatic, Hydraulics etc.) and the use of Process and Instrumentation Diagram (PID). Experience in plant operation will be considered as a plus. Excellent problem solver with a strong ability to work independently.
