Definition of the job
The Electrical Technician maintains plant reliability, calibrates instruments, and minimizes equipment downtime. This role performs component-level troubleshooting on electrical, automation, and SCADA systems while ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and food safety standards.
Activities
Perform preventive maintenance, electrical/automation repairs, and component-level troubleshooting on industrial motor controls, pump drives, and SCADA systems. Calibrate plant instrumentation and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings to execute accurate repairs. Coordinate plant shutdowns to minimize downtime, supervise external vendors, and manage spare parts requisitioning and reports. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and food safety standards.
Specific requirements for the work position
Qualifications and prerequisite:
EET 3 with 5 years working experience in the field of Electrical Technician or HND in Electrical Engineering with 2 or more years’ working experience in the field. Knowledge in MS word, Excel and proficiency with engineering software like Autocad is a plus. Good knowledge in trouble shooting using engineering drawing. Experience in plant operation is a plus. Problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail. Strong communication skills.
