Responsibilities:

Provide legal and regulatory support for AMMC’s business activities, partnerships and commercial transactions across North Africa. Research and advise on corporate, commercial, mining, minerals, trade, investment and regulatory frameworks in relevant jurisdictions. Draft, review and support negotiations for commercial contracts, supplier and buyer agreements, partnership arrangements, memoranda of understanding and other legal documents. Support legal due diligence, transaction structuring, risk assessments and documentation for cross-border business opportunities. Assist with company registration, licensing, regulatory filings, corporate governance and compliance requirements. Support AMMC’s engagement with government agencies, regulators, law firms, investors, industry associations and strategic partners. Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend practical, commercially viable solutions. Coordinate with external legal advisers and local professionals across the region. Contribute to the development of AMMC’s internal legal processes, policies and documentation systems.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or the relevant law degree required in the jurisdiction and current licence or formal admission to practise law in at least one of the following North African countries: Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan,Tunisia Current membership in good standing with the relevant bar association, law society or legal regulatory body, where applicable. Demonstrable knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment in at least one country where you are licensed to practise. Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, contract drafting, regulatory compliance and business operations. Excellent legal research, drafting, negotiation and analytical skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with regional and international stakeholders. Professional integrity, discretion and the ability to handle confidential commercial information. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. An interest in international business, trade, mining, minerals, energy, natural resources or investment.

Additional Advantage:

Experience in cross-border transactions, international trade, mining and natural resources, energy, project finance or foreign investment. Experience advising businesses operating across multiple North African jurisdictions. Postgraduate qualifications or professional training in corporate law, international business law, arbitration or compliance. Established professional relationships with law firms, regulators, government institutions, investors or business leaders in North Africa. Fluency in Arabic or French, with English proficiency; additional regional language skills are an advantage.
