Senior Civil Engineer

Job purpose

Support all civil and structural engineering activities for ADNOC Refining’s strategic capital projects. Provide technical expertise, guidance, and troubleshooting to ensure high standards and best practices across all company divisions.

Key responsibilities

Technical expertise

Act as subject matter expert (SME) for civil discipline.

Review civil, structural, and architectural documents across project phases.

Conduct gap analysis for ADNOC Group Engineering Standards (AGES).

Provide technical support through the Technical Authority framework.

Project & operations support

Troubleshoot plant issues related to structures, foundations, and underground services.

Evaluate design changes, cost optimization, and value improvement proposals.

Ensure compliance with international and ADNOC standards.

Procurement & vendor management

Review technical bids and pre-qualification of vendors and consultants.

Generic accountabilities

Contribute to budgets, performance management, and continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with HSE policies and sustainability guidelines.

Minimum requirements

B.Sc. in Civil/Structural Engineering

Minimum 8 years in oil, gas, or petrochemical industry

Strong technical and communication skills

Knowledge of structural analysis tools/software
