Lead AI Product Engineer - Tech Lead, English, Remote
About the company
We build and run production software for travel and ground-transport businesses: online booking platforms, payments, customer messaging, and an operations ERP used every day by dispatchers and drivers. We are hiring a hands-on technical lead to own our booking/growth platform and lead a second engineer.
Your tasks
- Own one live product end to end: specs, build, QA, releases, incidents.
- Turn business requests into clear specs with acceptance criteria.
- Build with AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Copilot) AND review their output critically.
- Manage GitHub (branches, PRs, code review), releases, documentation and monitoring.
- Lead and review the work of a second engineer.
Requirements
Must have
- 3+ years building software that real users used in production (show us links/repos).
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript, React, SQL (Postgres). Supabase or similar backend a big plus.
- Experience with payments (Stripe), APIs/webhooks, and serverless/edge functions.
- Daily use of AI coding tools, with good judgment on when the AI is wrong.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) and Spanish.
- Finisher: you ship, test and document; you push back respectfully when needed.
