Duties to include

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty coffees.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with orders.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café.
  • Restock ingredients, cups, milk, pastries, and other supplies as required.
  • Process customer orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
  • Ensure food safety and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including equipment cleaning and cash reconciliation.
  • Work closely with team members to maintain efficient service during busy periods.
  • Monitor product quality and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Upsell menu items and promote seasonal beverages and special offers.

What you'll bring

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality environment is preferred.
  • Experience using commercial espresso machines and coffee grinders.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
