As our new Staff Engineer specializing in Application Stress Test Methodologies, you¿ll dive into the world of next-generation wide-bandgap power semiconductors, designing innovative test systems that explore performance under extreme conditions.

At KAI, we strive to create pioneering reliability test methods and systems for robust power semiconductor technologies. Your know-how in designing and developing test systems will help us push our technology to its limits while collaborating with a team of innovators.

Your new responsibilities:

Develop and design advanced power electronic circuits through simulations and concept studies

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and manage system requirements effectively

Transform designs into hardware, overseeing the complete implementation process, and supervising the manufacturing phase

Evaluate and validate designs within an industrial laboratory setting

Lead stress testing using both established and newly developed test systems

Document designs, concepts, and results with clarity and precision

You are a hands-on innovator with a passion for high-performing power electronic systems. You thrive on bringing ideas to life, blending technical understanding with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Your toolkit for success includes:

Master's / PhD in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Strong expertise in SPICE and system-level simulations of power electronic circuits

Proven experience in PCB design using industry-standard tools like ALTIUM Designer

Practical experience with power electronic hardware design, from concept to laboratory validation

Excellent communication skills in English and/or German

The ability to lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative workspace

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, at least employment group G (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
