Qualifications

• PhD and/or equivalent proven academic experience
• Several years of relevant industrial experience within development of biotech products
• In-depth understanding of toxicology and in vivo pharmacology
• Proven skills within in vitro and in vivo preclinical evaluations of biologics
• Proven ability to lead and develop people and teams.
• Excellent spoken and written English

Meriting qualifications:

• Experience from CNS
• Proven skills within ATMP
• Good understanding of spoken and written Swedish

Is this you? Welcome to contact us or submit an application! At the Biotech Research and Product Development facility in Lidingö, Chiesi Farmaceutici engages in the development of pharmaceutical products to treat rare, serious, genetic diseases, for which there are no treatments available today.

As Head of Preclinical Development you lead the pre-clinical team at the Chiesi R&D organization in Sweden. You are responsible for preclinical operations, people management, prioritization of activities and long-term development of team and people to meet deliverables. You will be a part of the local leadership team reporting to Head of Biotech Research and Product Development. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to:

• Developing preclinical plans for the different products in development
• Representing preclinical in regulatory interactions.
• Management of external contractors and academic groups for in-vivo studies (pharmacology, bio distribution, and toxicology)
• Management of external contractors and coordination of internal activities for in-vitro studies
