Your tasks
We are looking for a Multiskills Tutor to deliver engaging and practical learning sessions within a supportive education or training environment. This Multiskills Tutor opportunity would suit someone who is confident working with learners of mixed abilities and can help develop practical, personal and employability skills. The successful Multiskills Tutor will be adaptable, organised and committed to helping learners progress.
Day-to-day of the role
- Plan and deliver engaging multiskills sessions tailored to learner needs and abilities
- Support learners in developing practical, personal and employability-based skills
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records of attendance, engagement and achievement
- Adapt lesson content and delivery methods to suit different learning styles and support needs
- Provide constructive feedback to help learners achieve their goals
- Work closely with colleagues and other professionals to support positive learner outcomes
- Ensure teaching is delivered in line with safeguarding, health and safety and organisational standards
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience teaching, tutoring or coaching learners in an education, training or support setting
- Ability to deliver engaging sessions across a range of practical and personal development topics
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Experience supporting learners with different abilities, backgrounds or additional needs
- Good organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate learner records
- Relevant teaching or assessing qualification is desirable
- A patient, adaptable and encouraging approach
- Good understanding of safeguarding within an educational environment
