Position Summary The Car Detailer is responsible for ensuring all vehicles are cleaned, polished, and presented in excellent condition before showroom display, customer handover, photography, or delivery. The role plays a key part in maintaining the company's vehicle presentation standards and enhancing customer satisfaction through quality vehicle grooming and care. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Cleaning & Detailing Perform thorough interior and exterior cleaning of vehicles.

Wash, dry, polish, wax, and vacuum vehicles to company standards.

Clean and condition seats, carpets, dashboards, door panels, and interior surfaces.

Remove stains, dirt, odors, and contaminants from vehicle interiors.

Clean windows, mirrors, rims, tires, and engine compartments where required.

Vehicle Preparation Prepare vehicles for showroom display, customer viewings, photography sessions, and vehicle deliveries.

Conduct final appearance checks before vehicle handover.

Ensure vehicles are presented in a clean, polished, and professional condition at all times.

Apply protective coatings, waxes, sealants, or detailing products as required.

Inventory Maintenance Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all inventory vehicles in the showroom, workshop, and storage yard.

Conduct routine checks to ensure displayed vehicles remain clean and presentable.

Assist in moving vehicles within company premises when required (if licensed).

Equipment & Workplace Maintenance Properly use and maintain detailing equipment, tools, and cleaning chemicals.

Ensure detailing bays and work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.

Report damaged equipment, vehicle defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Quality & Safety Compliance Follow company detailing procedures and quality standards.

Adhere to workplace safety regulations and proper chemical handling procedures.

Minimize the risk of damage to customer and company vehicles during detailing activities.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

Team Support Assist the sales, operations, and workshop teams in vehicle preparation activities.

Support company events, vehicle launches, and promotional activities when required.

Perform other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements Previous experience in vehicle detailing, car grooming, or automotive cleaning is preferred.

Basic knowledge of vehicle care products, polishing techniques, and detailing equipment.

Physically fit and able to perform manual work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Responsible, meticulous, and able to maintain high-quality workmanship.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Possession of a valid Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.

Preferred Skills Machine polishing and paint correction experience.

Ceramic coating application experience.

Interior restoration and deep-cleaning techniques.

Basic understanding of vehicle paint care and protection methods.

Working Conditions Based at showroom, workshop, and vehicle storage locations.

Exposure to cleaning chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and physical labour.

May be required to work weekends and public holidays according to operational requirements.

Performance Indicators (KPIs) Vehicle presentation quality.

Timeliness of vehicle preparation.

Customer delivery readiness.

Inventory cleanliness standards.

Compliance with safety and operational procedures.

Minimal vehicle damage or detailing-related complaints.
