About The Role As a member of our Software Infrastructure Team, you will be a key technical leader responsible for the robust infrastructure that keeps our automated manufacturing systems running. You will act as a critical bridge, partnering with our internal developers to streamline workflows while ensuring our external customers experience a seamless, high-availability product. This role is for a passionate, hands-on engineer dedicated to building a robust software environment that has a direct impact on patient lives.

Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure for reliable, secure, and scalable over-the-air (OTA) updates and configuration management for a fleet of IoT devices

Architect, deploy, and manage highly available, fault-tolerant, and performant cloud services in AWS to ensure 99.99%+ uptime for critical systems

Maintain and improve automated integration test suites and CI/CD pipelines to ensure the reliability, speed, and ease of use of our software stack and build process

Implement and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure, including least-privilege access controls, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and robust network segmentation

Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools that provide deep visibility into system health and performance

Monitor cloud resource utilization continuously and implement strategies for cost efficiency without compromising reliability or performance

Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion software engineering best practices (clean architecture, testing patterns) to elevate the team

Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or site reliability engineering, with a focus on cloud platforms, distributed systems, or complex automation

Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, IoT Core, DynamoDB) or similar cloud platform

Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

Expertise in Python and a strong command of infrastructure-as-code principles (e.g., system design, networking, security, monitoring)

Ability to design, build, and maintain highly reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines)

Deep comfort working in Linux environments, including networking configuration, systemd services, and shell scripting

Experience working with VPN technologies and foundational knowledge of networking principles

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex customer and developer requirements into robust infrastructure logic

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technically challenging startup environment; able to balance context switching between multiple projects and on-call responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications Experience managing open source projects

Prior experience with SOC2 / ISO 27001 / GMP / CFR Part 11

Prior experience at a hardware startup or robotics company

Familiarity with biomanufacturing or lab automation

Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., GMP, FDA, ISO standards)

Physical & Working Conditions Standard work schedule with occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call support for critical issues or time-sensitive maintenance
