KBR is looking for Sr. Engineer, I-C Maintenance with onshore site project experience in MEGA EPC projects to be based in Abu Dhabi for PMC project.
Job purpose
Provides technical expertise with experience-based knowledge to operations support on all matters related to instrumentation & control systems. Provides technical support on maintenance & maintenance engineering and executes the maintenance projects related to instrumentation & control systems to support business continuity in line with senior management and company objectives.

Technical expertise in maintenance support activities for instrumentation & control systems.
Manage technical integrity of instrumentation & control.
Maintenance support services & projects management.
Achieving the KPIs related to business unit & ADNOC Offshore.
Execute maintenance support projects (plant modification requests & upgrade projects), which includes procurement, installation, commissioning & handover activities.
Plan & execute asset replacement based on the obsolescence/reports issued.
Review engineering documentation.
Prepare the design specifications, scope of work etc., to support the project requirements.
Participate, as required, in design technical review meetings, site surveys, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities.
Participate in formal safety assessment studies, such as HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, FTA, FMEA etc.
Track, identify and manage project dependencies and critical path for compliance to individual milestones and deliverables.
Ensure maintenance requirements scope, such as spare parts interchangeability records (SPIR), equipment maintenance procedures, test certificates etc., are integrated into the project scope and related deliverables.
Provide technical expertise and assistance to site maintenance departments on instrument and control systems.
Assist in troubleshooting breakdowns & equipment failures. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and failure analysis of equipment.
Liaise with original equipment manufacturer (OEM), contractor, vendor and other support teams.
Review and contribute to life cycle support studies and recommend upgrades/changes to support business continuity.
Coordinate with reliability teams for asset registration, implement/update preventive maintenance programs.
Provide effective interfaces and relationships within/between disciplines, site teams and peers in other relevant teams.
Liaise with technical support, central engineering, procurement, and finance planning divisions.
Establish service contracts for all critical instrumentation & control systems with OEMs and manage such contracts.
Responsible for HSECES requirements integration across relevant project scopes.
Validate the management of change (MOC) during project and operation phases.

Supervision: Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver section objectives.
Budgets: Provide input for preparation of the section/department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved budget and work plans to deliver section objectives. Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, systems, processes & procedures: Implement approved section/department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures to support execution of work programs in line with company and international standards.
Performance management: Contribute to the achievement of approved performance objectives for the section/department in line with the company performance framework.
Innovation and continuous improvement: Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, safety, environment (HSE) and sustainability: Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC code of practices.
Reports: Provide inputs to prepare section MIS and progress reports for company management.
Communications & working relationships
Internal: Daily contacts with personnel at own or next higher level in own and other departments such as HSE, planning, procurement, finance etc., to advise on work-related activities.
External: Frequent contact with OEMs and vendors on technical matters related to instrumentation & control systems and equipment at site.
Qualifications, experience, knowledge & skills
Minimum qualification: Bachelor degree or equivalent in Instrument and Control or Electronics Engineering from recognized institution.
Minimum experience & knowledge & skills:
A minimum of 15 years' experience in a senior position with relevant maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry.
Good knowledge of advanced instrumentation and control systems as applied to complex oil industry equipment, preferably in an offshore environment, including technical competency on plant equipment control and shutdown systems such as DCS, SCADA, RTUs, turbine control systems & compressors control systems, ESDs, HIPPS, fire & gas systems etc.
Well conversant with modern DCS, safety instrumented systems, alarm management systems, asset management systems, and knowledge of IEC 61131-3 languages such as relay ladder logic, FBD etc.
Good knowledge of relevant international codes and standards is required.
Familiarity with ERP programs such as SAP/MAXIMO, project management software & Microsoft Office programs.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
