Accountabilities: The Staff Engineer - Cybersecurity supports the delivery and continuous improvement of cybersecurity-focused certification and industry-managed programs. This role serves as a technical resource for audits, standards development, stakeholder collaboration, and cybersecurity initiatives while ensuring compliance with established processes and requirements.

Conduct cybersecurity audit reviews while maintaining confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to established procedures.

Support and manage technical task groups by facilitating meetings, coordinating projects, and contributing to audit criteria development and revisions.

Prepare technical summaries, reports, and recommendations for assigned stakeholder groups and leadership teams.

Participate in auditor interviews, recruitment activities, qualification processes, and training initiatives.

Coordinate with auditor management teams to maintain sufficient audit capacity and support effective resource planning.

Perform cybersecurity audits when approved as an auditor for applicable industry programs or accredited standards.

Maintain and expand technical knowledge across cybersecurity disciplines, industry technologies, and relevant standards through training, conferences, and collaboration.

Support budget planning, activity management, and operational improvements for assigned programs.

Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of accredited management systems.

Provide cybersecurity expertise for cross-functional projects, technical initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Identify process improvements, analyze gaps, and recommend solutions that enhance program effectiveness.

Support innovation opportunities, including expansion of existing programs and development of new technical capabilities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines cybersecurity expertise, technical problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills. This role requires experience working with security standards, audit processes, and technical environments, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working with cybersecurity specifications, standards, or related technical programs.

Experience with cyber and data security frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, CMMC, ISO/SAE 21434, or similar standards.

Understanding of microelectronics assembly environments, aerospace-related technologies, or comparable technical industries preferred.

Strong knowledge of technical engineering principles, cybersecurity practices, and compliance methodologies.

Experience supporting audits, quality management systems, or certification programs preferred.

Ability to analyze complex information, identify patterns, evaluate risks, and develop practical solutions.

Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent activities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and communicate with technical stakeholders.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and experience performing data analysis and reporting.

Ability to build productive relationships, facilitate teamwork, and collaborate across different functions.

Demonstrated adaptability, leadership potential, professional judgment, and willingness to embrace change.

Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
