About the company

We're looking for a Client Relations Assistant to join our recruitment team.

Your tasks

You'll become an important part of the relationship between our recruitment team, clients and candidates.

Your day will involve

  • Speaking to clients and candidates regularly over the phone
  • Building and maintaining strong professional relationships
  • Understanding what clients need and making sure we're delivering it
  • Arranging calls, meetings and interviews
  • Speaking with candidates and understanding their experience, personality and career goals
  • Following up with clients and candidates and keeping communication moving
  • Updating our CRM and keeping accurate records
  • Supporting the recruitment team with live vacancies and client requirements
  • Chasing outstanding actions and making sure nothing gets missed
  • Helping solve problems when things don't quite go to plan
  • Developing your understanding of recruitment and, over time, taking on more responsibility

Requirements

Are you naturally good with people? Do you enjoy picking up the phone, having a conversation and building a genuine relationship with someone?

This isn't a role where we're expecting you to have years of recruitment experience. In fact, personality, communication skills and work ethic matter more to us than having the perfect CV.

We're looking for someone who is confident speaking to people, enjoys building relationships and takes pride in doing a great job.

You might currently work in customer service, hospitality, sales, account management, retail, business development, recruitment or another customer-facing environment — if you're great with people and want to develop your career, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't need recruitment experience.

What we really want is someone who

  • Is confident and personable on the phone
  • Genuinely enjoys talking to people
  • Has excellent relationship-building skills
  • Is organised and doesn't need to be chased
  • Has a strong work ethic
  • Is proactive and takes ownership
  • Can communicate professionally with different types of people
  • Is comfortable picking up the phone rather than hiding behind emails
  • Is positive, resilient and able to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Wants to learn and develop

Experience in a customer-facing role would be a big advantage, but we're much more interested in the person than the job title on their CV.

What we offer

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get into recruitment but doesn't necessarily have previous recruitment experience.

You'll receive training and support, learn how a successful recruitment business operates and develop skills in relationship management, communication, recruitment and business development.

For the right person, there's plenty of opportunity to progress as you develop.
