School Librarian

Responsibilities:

Organise, classify, catalogue and maintain books and other library resources.. Issue and receive books and other library materials. Maintain accurate records of borrowed and returned materials. Follow up on overdue or missing books. Help students locate appropriate books and learning resources. Encourage regular reading and independent learning. Guide students on effective research and information-searching skills. Work with teachers to provide relevant books and resources for different subjects. Assist students with research, projects, assignments, and examinations. Establish and enforce appropriate library rules. Maintain a quiet, safe and respectful environment for students. Maintain an inventory of library materials and equipment. Prepare periodic reports on library usage, acquisitions, losses, and other activities.

Requirements:

BSc in Library & Information Technology or Library Science Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role Preferably lives in the stated location or nearby
