Job description

About the team

This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead Castrol’s employee listening and people analytics capability during a critical period of organisational transformation. As the Employee Experience & People Analytics Lead, you will act as the central expert and trusted advisor for employee listening across the business, partnering closely with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, Centres of Expertise, and transformation teams.

You will have ownership of Castrol’s employee listening platform and strategy, ensuring employee feedback is translated into meaningful action that improves engagement, culture, organisational effectiveness, and business performance. With approximately 6,300 employees across 40 countries, the role offers significant global exposure and the opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest levels.

This is a highly visible, business-facing role that goes beyond survey administration. Success will come from your ability to combine employee experience expertise, people analytics, stakeholder management, and data storytelling to help leaders make evidence-based decisions during a period of ongoing change.

Key tasks

Lead Castrol's Employee Listening Capability

Act as the primary point of contact for all employee listening and survey activity across the organisation.

Own the implementation, configuration, governance, administration, and continuous improvement of the Qualtrics Employee Experience platform.

Design and deliver a range of employee listening initiatives, including engagement surveys, pulse surveys, lifecycle surveys, moments that matter surveys, and transformation-related listening programmes.

Develop and maintain an employee listening strategy that aligns with Castrol's transformation agenda and business objectives.

Establish governance frameworks, survey standards, and reporting methodologies that ensure data privacy, consistency, and insight quality.

Deliver actionable workforce insights

Analyse employee experience, workforce, talent, and organisational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for intervention.

Combine multiple data sources to provide leadership with a holistic view of organisational health and workforce effectiveness.

Support workforce planning, organisational design, talent management, employee engagement, and retention initiatives through data-driven insights.

Identify leading indicators and predictive insights that help anticipate workforce risks and opportunities.

Influence decision-making through reporting and storytelling

Create executive dashboards, leadership scorecards, PowerPoint presentations, and insight packs that translate data into compelling business narratives.

Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

Facilitate action-planning discussions and workshops that help leaders convert employee feedback into meaningful organisational outcomes.

Act as a trusted advisor, providing evidence-based recommendations on employee experience and workforce challenges.

Experience needed

We're looking for an experienced Employee Experience, People Analytics, or Organisational Effectiveness professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.

Significant hands-on experience with Qualtrics or similar survey software.

Proven experience leading or playing a major role in a full Qualtrics implementation from the ground up.

Approximately 5+ years of experience working with employee listening platforms, survey technology, and survey design.

Experience building dashboards, managing enterprise reporting frameworks, and generating actionable business insights.

Strong people analytics capability, with experience turning workforce and engagement data into compelling recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Experience operating within large, complex organisations of 1,000+ employees, ideally in global environments.

Demonstrable experience supporting employee listening programmes across multiple countries.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to analyse data and communicate findings effectively.

What will make you stand out:

Experience supporting global employee populations and large-scale change or transformation programmes.

Experience with alternative employee listening platforms such as Medallia, Peakon, Glint, InMoment, or similar technologies.

Expertise in employee listening governance, data privacy, survey methodology, and enterprise-scale deployment.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive action from insights.

Experience creating executive dashboards, scorecards, and board-level reporting.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have deployed and operated enterprise-scale employee listening programmes rather than those whose experience is limited to academic or survey administration use cases. You should be able to demonstrate how you have used employee feedback, people analytics, and business insight to influence decisions, improve employee experience, and deliver measurable organisational outcomes. Industry background is not important. We are far more interested in your expertise in employee listening, Qualtrics, people analytics, and your ability to partner with leaders to drive meaningful change.
