What you'll do
- Write lots of code for backend (either Kotlin or Python) and frontend (React, Redux, Typescript) with high degree of proficiency
- Design software and contribute to implementation.
- Work cross functionally with Product, Analytics and other engineering teams across Affirm.
- Build APIs and data models to work according to the defined service oriented architecture.
What we look for
- 6+ years of experience as a full stack sr. software engineer in backend (Python or Kotlin) and frontend
- Strong understanding of any relational database system best practices.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and how architectural decisions affect performance and maintainability
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Project management skills–high degree of organization and ability to surface critical information effectively.
- Experience with AWS and/or other cloud providers is a plus
