Commodity Manager Mechanics

Your tasks

Duties and responsibilities •Responsible regional supplier management in the respective areas of responsibility (mechanical commodities: Plastics, Casting, Cable, Sheet Metal & Machining) •Leads sourcing process for region and assigned commodity from RFQ to contract signature •Manage internal stakeholder relationships by driving new product introductions, commodity/technology lifecycle, demand/supply, etc. •Identifies and implements opportunities for cost savings optimization •Develops and maintains relationships with executives and senior executives at suppliers •Candidate will be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications ensuring that requirements are flowed down to suppliers effectively

Requirements

1. Technical Degree required including min. 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment. Master’s degree is preferred
2. Candidates with hands-on experience in sheet metal, machining or general metallurgical processes will be preferred.
3. Experience with contract negotiation and administration
4. Strong knowledge of sourcing methodology and its application (e.g. fact-based negotiations and cross-functional team collaboration)
5. Strong understanding of procurement processes, industry and suppliers.
6. Strong business application skills (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint)
7. Strong communication and analytical skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.

We are looking in the region Chiang Mai Thailand for a Commodity Manager Mechanics This position is for an Experienced Commodity Manager professional in the Mechanical area. The Commodity Manager has responsibility for an assigned group of commodities and will secure long-term total quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of direct material supply throughout the total product lifecycle for the assigned commodity.
