Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing floors and installing vinyl flooring materials on residential, commercial, healthcare, educational and industrial settings
- Measure and assess areas for flooring installation
- Prepare floors by cleaning, levelling, sanding and applying DPM layers and levelling compounds
- Install vinyl and safety flooring materials
- Cut and fit flooring materials accurately around walls, corners, fixtures and fittings
- Apply adhesives and secure flooring to manufacturers specifications
- Weld and seal joints to vinyl
- Install cove formers, skirting and finishing trims
- Ability to read drawings, plans and specifications
- Knowledge of floor preparation
- Proficiency with flooring tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with quality workmanship
- Assist with other site duties when required
