- Monitor daily construction and installation activities and verify that critical controls are in place before and during execution.
- Review and challenge contractor method statements, risk assessments, JHAs, lifting plans, scaffolding arrangements and PTW controls.
- Verify scaffolding safety, access routes, fall-protection arrangements, barricading, edge protection and dropped-object prevention.
- Control simultaneous operations between civil, mechanical, electrical and contractor teams.
- Coordinate with contractors’ HSE representatives to ensure consistent site rules, daily communication, inspection follow-up and closure of unsafe conditions.
- Ensure applicable Egyptian Port Authority / port administration requirements are identified, communicated, implemented and followed up.
- Conduct daily site inspections, issue findings, track corrective actions and escalate repeated or serious noncompliance.
- Support incident / near-miss reporting, investigation and learning communication.
- Prepare concise HS performance updates
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required: Civil, Mechanical or Electrical preferred.
- 5–7 years of HS experience, preferably in construction, industrial projects, silos, warehouses, ports, infrastructure or electromechanical installation projects.
- Solid understanding of construction HS risks including scaffolding, work at height, lifting, excavation, temporary electricity, hot work, material handling and contractor control.
- Exposure to port-area projects, authority-controlled sites or regulated construction environments is preferred.
- Alexandria residence is a must to support strong site presence.
- Formal HS qualification required, such as OSHA, NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001, scaffolding inspection or work-at-height training.
Good Microsoft Office capability for inspection reports, action tracking, dashboards and contractor follow-up.
