IT Coordinator - Mesa de Otay

Location: Mesa de Otay, San Diego, California

Job Purpose: Lead and supervise all activities related to the implementation, update, and maintenance of the technological infrastructure in our industrial unit located in Mesa de Otay, San Diego, California.

Main Activities:

• Infrastructure Management: Supervise, manage, and implement the unit's technological infrastructure, ensuring its optimal operation and updates.
• Innovation Projects: Propose and lead technological innovation projects from conception to implementation, seeking operational efficiency and competitive advantages.
• Support and Systems: Implement and maintain systems and applications that support daily operations; provide advanced technical support to resolve complex problems.
• Cybersecurity: Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies and procedures to guarantee the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of company data.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work together with engineering teams to improve production processes through advanced technology, and address requirements from general management and corporate.
• Leadership and Management: Promote a culture of continuous learning within the department, coordinate support staff, and provide timely follow-up to the KPIs of the Innovation and Technology Directorate.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate hiring, IT services, computer equipment acquisitions, and manage compliance with service level agreements (SLA).

Academic Background: Bachelor's Degree or Engineering in Informática, Sistemas Computacionales, or a related field (Degree holder).

Language: Advanced English (Verifiable ability to read, write complex documents, conduct training, and communicate fluently).

Required Experience (2 to 5 years in the following areas):

• Installation and configuration of data networks and security tools.
• Administration of Switching, Routing, and Firewalls.
• Administration of servers and operating systems.
• Installation and configuration of computer devices and peripherals.
• Management of information systems and office collaboration platforms.

Certifications / Additional Knowledge (Desirable):

• Fortinet and Cisco.
• ISO 20000.
• Cloud Environments (Google Cloud Platform / Workspace, Cloud Skillboost).
• Management tools (Jira, Service Desk, SAP).
