Extruder Operator

Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machines in line with production schedules and specifications. Ensure machines are properly calibrated to achieve required cable diameter accuracy and product specifications. Achieve assigned extrusion output targets by maintaining optimal machine performance and minimizing interruptions. Monitor production processes continuously and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent output quality. Control and minimize material waste by ensuring efficient material usage, proper machine settings, and adherence to production standards. Track raw material consumption and report variances or inefficiencies. Conduct routine machine checks before, during, and after production runs to ensure proper functionality. Identify, record, and promptly report all machine downtime, including root causes and corrective actions taken. Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve mechanical or technical issues efficiently. Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and proactively prevent defects (Quality Defect Prevention). Escalate any quality deviations immediately and implement corrective actions as directed. Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures (Safety Compliance). Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of experience  A minimum of a diploma  Technical ability to operate and troubleshoot extrusion machines Understanding of production processes and quality control standards Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to monitor and interpret machine parameters Problem-solving and fault identification skills Basic mechanical knowledge Strong adherence to safety standards Ability to work in shifts and under pressure Teamwork and communication skills Record-keeping and reporting ability High level of discipline and reliability
