LIBRARIAN
Based on Article 24 of the Basic Collective Agreement for employees in public services (NN 29/24); Article 4, point 3 and Article 5, point 3 of the Ordinance on the conditions and method of acquiring professional titles in the library profession (NN 107/21) and Article 25 of the Statute, the Znanstvena knjižnica Sveučilišta u Zadru, represented by Director Marijana Senkić-Klapan, announces:
COMPETITION
for the establishment of an employment relationship
LIBRARIAN - job position of the I. type - 1 executor, fixed-term, full-time (40 hours per week) for replacement, until the employee returns to work
Place of work: Znanstvena knjižnica Sveučilišta u Zadru, Ante Kuzmanića 3, 23000 Zadar
In addition to the general requirements for establishing an employment relationship, candidates must also meet special requirements, namely:
- completed university graduate study or integrated undergraduate and graduate university study in the field of information and communication sciences with at least 60 ECTS credits from the core contents of librarianship at the graduate level, or a librarianship study through which high professional qualifications were acquired in accordance with the regulations that were in force before the entry into force of the Law on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (»NN«, no. 123/03)
- professional title of librarian in accordance with the Ordinance on the conditions and method of acquiring professional titles in the library profession
- independent computer user
- independent user of the English language
The application for the competition must include the personal data of the applicant (first name, surname, residential address, telephone/mobile number, e-mail address) and the name of the job position being applied for. Along with the hand-signed application for the competition, candidates are obliged to attach:
- CV
- proof of the appropriate level of education
- electronic record or confirmation of data recorded in the database of the Hrvatski zavod za mirovinsko osiguranje (not older than 8 days)
- copy of identity card or passport
- certificate from the competent court that the applicant is not under investigation and that no criminal proceedings are being conducted (not older than 8 days)
The mentioned documents or attachments are to be submitted as uncertified copies. Submitted competition documentation will not be returned.
By submitting an application for the competition, candidates expressly agree that the Library, as the controller of personal data, may collect, use, and further process the data for the purpose of conducting the competition procedure.
Persons of both sexes may apply to the competition in accordance with the Law on Gender Equality (NN no. 82/08, 69/17). Expressions used in the competition that have a gender meaning are used neutrally and apply equally to both male and female persons.
A candidate who exercises the right of preference in employment according to special laws is obliged in the application for the competition to refer to that right, or to attach all prescribed evidence according to the special law with the application, and has priority over other candidates under equal conditions.
A candidate who exercises the right of preference in employment based on Article 102 of the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their family members (NN no. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23), Article 48. f. of the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Disabled Persons (NN no. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 02/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), Article 9 of the Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (NN no. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) and Article 48 of the Law on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (NN no. 84/21) is obliged in the application for the competition to refer to that right and, along with the application for the competition, to attach all prescribed documentation according to the special law, and has priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.
A candidate who refers to the right of preference in employment based on Article 102 of the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their family members is obliged, along with the application for the competition, in addition to the mentioned documents or attachments, to also attach all necessary evidence from Article 103 of the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their family members (NN no. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23) which are available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans:
Persons who exercise the right of preference in employment in accordance with Article 48 of the Law on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (NN no. 84/21), are obliged in the application for the competition to refer to that right and, along with the application, to submit evidence from Article 49 of the Law on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War. Link to the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans with the list of evidence required to exercise the right of preference:
Only a person who submits a timely and complete application and meets the formal requirements of the competition will be considered an applicant for the competition, and untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered.
For candidates applied to the competition who meet the formal requirements, a check of knowledge, abilities, and skills essential for performing the duties of the job position or an interview may be conducted.
If candidates applied to the competition do not attend the check or interview, they will be considered to have withdrawn their application for the competition.
Notice of the time and place of the preliminary check of knowledge and abilities or the interview with candidates will be published on the Library's website.
The application for the competition should be submitted in person or by mail to the address: Znanstvena knjižnica Sveučilišta u Zadru, Ante Kuzmanića 3, 23000 Zadar, with the notation: ''Za natječaj - knjižničar''
The deadline for submitting applications for the competition is 8 days from the day of publication of the competition on the websites of the Library and the Hrvatski zavod za zapošljavanje.
Candidates will be informed of the results of the competition within 8 days of the completed candidate selection process by the publication of the decision on the selection of the candidate on the Library's websites, and by the publication of the decision, all candidates will be considered informed and will not be notified individually.
The competition may be canceled without stating a special reason, which will be announced on the Library's website, and the applied candidates will not be notified individually.
