EMPLOYMENT VACANCY: LAYERS BROODING ATTENDANT (DOC)

Location: Imegun Village, Ijebu-Itele, Ogun State.

Zichis Agro-Allied Industries Plc is seeking competent and experienced personnel with practical knowledge of managing day-old layer chicks (DOC) throughout the brooding period.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and disinfect brooding houses before chick placement.
• Manage brooding temperature, ventilation and lighting.
• Ensure proper feeding, watering and early chick development.
• Monitor chick growth, behaviour, feed intake and mortality.
• Maintain daily records of mortality, feed and water consumption.
• Identify and report chick health challenges promptly.
• Implement vaccination schedules and strict biosecurity measures.
• Maintain proper litter conditions, hygiene and brooding equipment.

Required Experience Level

• Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience brooding day-old layer chicks (DOC).
• Experience in chick placement, temperature management, feeding, vaccination, mortality monitoring and biosecurity.
• Candidates must demonstrate practical knowledge of layers brooding operations.

Qualification: SSCE/OND.
