Application Support Engineer (m/f/d)

WHAT AWAITS YOU

You will take over the technical support of our BHKW applications, analyze product and quality issues in the field, and develop tailor-made solutions together with customers, Caterpillar, and internal teams. In doing so, you will actively contribute to the optimization of our products and services.

WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR

• You support Combined Heat and Power (BHKW) applications in the field, analyze product and quality problems on CAT gas engines, and perform root cause diagnostics
• You identify measures to remedy technical and product-related defects, manage their implementation, and work closely with Caterpillar as well as non-CAT suppliers
• You advise customers as well as internal departments such as Sales, Project Management, and Service on technical questions – both preventatively and in the event of damage
• You collect and analyze product and operational data from the field, for example in the context of commissioning, test runs, and damage analyses
• You develop and conduct technical training and provide product information and technical documentation
• You work trustfully and solution-oriented with Caterpillar, CAT dealers, customers, and the ZPS-Service to ensure high product and service quality

WHAT WE WISH FOR

• You have a successfully completed engineering degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drive Technology, or a comparable course of study. Alternatively, you have a Techniker or Meister training (m/f/d) with corresponding professional experience
• You bring several years of professional experience in a comparable position
• You possess sound knowledge in engine technology (diesel or gas engines)
• You convince through your communication skills, teamwork ability, and a professional appearance towards customers
• You are willing to travel approximately 20% of your working time
• You have good written and spoken English skills (at least B2)
