Assistant Project Manager – Controlled Demolition Company: Zenova Steel Pte Ltd

Zenova Steel is expanding its specialised controlled demolition business and is looking for a motivated and technically capable Assistant Project Manager to support project planning, site execution, and project management.

Your tasks

Our projects involve wire saw cutting, wall saw cutting, core drilling, and other specialised controlled demolition works.

• Assist in managing controlled demolition projects from planning through to completion.
• Coordinate daily site operations, including wire saw cutting, wall saw cutting, core drilling, and other demolition activities.
• Coordinate manpower, machinery, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Liaise with main contractors, consultants, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review construction drawings, work sequences, method statements, and project schedules.
• Monitor site progress, productivity, quality, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Assist with project budgeting, cost monitoring, progress claims, and variation orders.
• Identify site issues, coordinate solutions, and minimise project delays.
• Prepare project reports, work schedules, and other project documentation.
• Support the Project Manager in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Requirements

This role is ideal for candidates with construction site experience who want to strengthen their project management capabilities and progress towards becoming a Project Manager.

• Relevant experience in construction, demolition, structural cutting, or foundation works.
• Knowledge of wire saw cutting, wall saw cutting, core drilling, or controlled demolition is an advantage.
• Understanding of construction drawings, site operations, and work sequencing.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of project costing, budgeting, and cost control.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently when required.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to develop technical and management skills.
