Must-have:AISeniorLead

Does it excite you to shape strategic decisions through finance and close business partnering? And do you have experience with financial planning, cross-functional collaboration, and turning insights into measurable results? If this sounds like you, and you are ready to take on a broad area of responsibilities, then you could be our new colleague.

Your new position

As Finance Business Partner, you will be the trusted financial advisor to our Global Project Leads across the Development portfolio. You will focus on forward-looking analysis, scenario planning and business cases, rather than month-end controlling or technical accounting, proactively challenging assumptions and connecting financial insights into operational decisions. You will also be responsible for wider Finance Projects that span across our Zealand organization. This role offers extensive cross-functional exposure and visibility across the organization.

We offer exciting responsibilities:

Operate as a business partner to project teams, including project leaders and individual project team members, across a portfolio of development projects

Drive development of business cases for relevant development projects, for example for governance body endorsements, toll gate passes, and portfolio value updates

Take on a Finance lead role in selected strategic finance projects

Manage the planning process (budget, outlook) for relevant development projects

Manage reporting, follow-up analyses, and action planning to close performance gaps, including scenario building and business steering

Act as a healthy challenger to project teams and departments, asking “why”, “how” and “so what?”, capable of smooth internal negotiations and being a trusted sounding board

Your profile

You have a strategic mindset and are comfortable challenging senior stakeholders constructively, and confident acting as a trusted sounding board across the organization. You bring a proactive, forward-looking mindset, thrive on cross-functional collaboration and visibility, and have a genuine "can do" attitude in line with our One Team value. As a person you are structured in your problem solving and are curious by nature.

Experience from a likewise position or financial analysis position

Pharma or biotech industry experience is preferred

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

Fluent in English, written and spoken

Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field

Your new team

You will join the FP&A and Finance Business Partnering team, reporting to the Head of FP&A and Finance Business Partnering, as part of Finance & Accounting — where we see ourselves as business partners to the whole organization.

Let’s bond and be bold

We have a unique culture, characterized by excellent teamwork and strong engagement across the organization. And we want you to help us strengthen this culture.

Making bonds is at the core of everything we do. From discovering and developing the best new peptide drugs for patients, to engaging with our partners or connecting with each other. We bond through curiosity and playfulness as a team, allowing ourselves to challenge common thinking and drive future innovation. Join us and let’s bond and be bold

Interested in bonding with us? Then please apply no later than October 18, 2026 , or as soon as possible. The applications will be reviewed as they come in. While a cover letter is not required, please include a few sentences in your CV explaining your motivation for applying.

About Zealand Pharma

Since our founding in 1998, Zealand Pharma has built a core expertise in the discovery, design, and development of therapeutic peptides. This expertise has led to an R&D pipeline of innovative investigational candidates designed to address a broad range of disease areas.

We have four therapeutic focus areas: obesity, rare diseases, chronic inflammation, and type 1 diabetes.

In obesity, our peptide capabilities place us in a unique position to address a vast global health challenge and positively impact hundreds of millions of lives. Within rare diseases, we have a long-standing commitment to deliver new treatments to patients living with congenital hyperinsulinism and short bowel syndrome. For chronic inflammatory diseases, we are progressing peptide programs focused on high-profile targets shown to be difficult to address with small molecules and antibodies. For type 1 diabetes, we aspire to change the management of this disease.

Our strategy is to pursue global co-development and commercialization partnerships that complement and extend our capabilities across the value chain to deliver new peptide therapies to people who need them.
