Operate Manager/Business Development Manager/Manager

Transport Operations & Business Development Manager We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Transport Operations & Business Development Manager to oversee our daily transportation operations while actively developing new business opportunities. The role covers home moving, office relocation, carton delivery, event logistics and general transport services. This position is ideal for someone with strong industry experience, leadership skills and, most importantly, an existing customer network and proven ability to generate new business. Key Responsibilities Operations Management

• Manage and oversee daily transport operations, schedules, routes, drivers and movers.
• Coordinate home moving, office relocation, carton delivery and event logistics.
• Ensure vehicles, manpower and resources are properly allocated and utilised.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore transportation, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage operational issues and resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Lead and supervise drivers, movers and operational staff.

Business Development

• Develop and implement strategies to generate new transport and moving business.
• Identify and approach new customers, corporate clients, contractors, event companies and business partners.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Develop recurring business and secure regular transport contracts.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close deals.
• Monitor market trends, competitors and new business opportunities.
• Actively contribute to company revenue and business growth.

Requirements

• Valid Singapore Class 4 driving licence.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transport , logistics, moving, delivery or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore transport operations and regulations.
• Proven experience in managing drivers, movers or transport teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Commercially minded with strong business development capabilities.
• Existing customer base / industry network is highly preferred.
• Candidates with their own clients, corporate accounts, moving customers, contractors, event companies or logistics contacts will have a strong advantage.
• Proven track record in bringing in new customers and generating revenue.
• Able to develop and maintain long-term business relationships.
• Strong understanding of vehicle operations, maintenance and fleet management.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of both operations and business development.
• Hands-on, responsible and able to work under pressure.
• Able to work 6 days per week.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who can run the operation and grow the business. This is not just a Class 4 driving position. The successful candidate should be able to manage the transport team, ensure smooth daily operations, bring in customers, generate jobs and develop recurring business. Candidates with an established customer network and proven business development track record will be strongly considered.
