About the company

YYForce is building intelligent humanoid and service robots that can work safely and effectively alongside people. Our initial focus is the hospitality sector, where robots must operate reliably in dynamic environments and interact naturally with guests and staff.

Our goal is to develop scalable robotic capabilities that support a growing range of hospitality and service applications.

Your tasks

About the Role We are looking for a Robotics Engineer, Navigation to enable our robots to move safely and autonomously in real-world environments.

You will develop and integrate mapping, localization, path-planning and obstacle-avoidance capabilities, working closely with perception, manipulation and system engineers to deliver reliable end-to-end navigation on physical robots.

  • Develop and integrate SLAM, mapping, localization and autonomous-navigation capabilities.
  • Select and integrate suitable LiDAR, cameras, IMUs and other navigation sensors.
  • Configure and adapt global and local path planning, obstacle avoidance and recovery behaviors.
  • Integrate navigation with perception, manipulation and task-execution systems.
  • Test and improve navigation reliability on physical robots in dynamic indoor environments.
  • Support site mapping, system commissioning and deployment troubleshooting.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
  • Good understanding of SLAM, localization, path planning and obstacle avoidance.
  • Experience developing, integrating or testing software for mobile robotic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug navigation issues across software, sensors and robot hardware.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience with ROS 2 Nav2 or similar robot-navigation frameworks.
  • Experience with LiDAR-based, visual or LiDAR-inertial SLAM.
  • Experience integrating and calibrating LiDAR, cameras, IMUs or odometry sensors.
  • Experience with navigation in dynamic indoor environments around people and moving obstacles.
  • Experience with docking, recovery behaviors or multi-map navigation.
  • Experience with humanoid, legged or wheeled mobile robots.
  • Demonstrable work through deployed systems, technical projects or robot demonstration videos.

What we offer

  • End-to-end ownership of navigation capabilities deployed on physical humanoid
  • The opportunity to take your work from development and simulation through to real-world hospitality deployments.
  • Hands-on access to robot platforms, navigation sensors, edge computers and real-world testing environments.
  • The freedom to evaluate technologies, make technical decisions and shape the navigation roadmap.
  • Close collaboration across perception, manipulation, embodied AI and robotics system engineering.
  • The opportunity to join a growing robotics team and help define its core technical capabilities.
