We’re recruiting for a well-established, family-run business based in Caterham, renowned for delivering high-quality mechanical maintenance services to prestigious residential and commercial properties.
Due to the importance of their ongoing service and maintenance operations, they’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Service & Maintenance Coordinator to join their friendly team.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be at the heart of the operation, coordinating engineers, arranging maintenance visits, liaising with clients and ensuring every job is organised and completed efficiently. You’ll play a key part in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the company’s reputation for quality and reliability.
What’s in it for you?
- £30,000–£35,000 salary, depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
- 26 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays.
- Company pension.
- Free on-site parking.
What will you be doing?
No two days will be quite the same! You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of service and maintenance activities, including:
- Scheduling routine service visits and planned maintenance appointments.
- Coordinating engineers’ diaries and arranging attendance for reactive call-outs.
- Building positive relationships with clients, keeping them updated and ensuring their needs are met.
- Preparing and issuing maintenance contracts, quotations and service documentation.
- Ordering parts and liaising with suppliers to ensure engineers have what they need.
- Raising invoices and supporting the smooth running of the service administration process.
- Collating service reports and sending completed documentation to clients.
- Managing multiple jobs, priorities and deadlines while keeping everything accurate and up to date.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being organised, takes pride in their work and can confidently keep multiple tasks moving at once.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a busy office administration, service coordination or scheduling role.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Confident communication skills, with a professional and personable approach to clients and colleagues.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail when preparing documents, quotations, reports and invoices.
- A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience coordinating engineers, contractors or maintenance visits would be beneficial, but above all, we’re looking for someone reliable, enthusiastic and keen to take ownership of their responsibilities.
