Network Engineer Data Center & Automation
Are you an experienced Network Engineer who looks beyond routers and switches? At Yourhosting, you will work on modern data center networks that form the foundation of our cloud, hosting, and storage platforms. You combine deep networking knowledge with Linux expertise and automation to make our infrastructure scalable, reliable, and future-proof.
Together with the Infrastructure team, you will work on challenging projects such as data center migrations, network standardization, and automation initiatives. In doing so, you will have plenty of room to take ownership and implement improvements. What you will be doing? As a Network Engineer, you are responsible for designing, managing, and automating our data center infrastructure. You work in a modern multi-vendor environment in which networking, Linux, storage, and cloud platforms are closely interconnected. This is how you will spend your time: Designing, managing, and optimizing our data center networks.
Working with modern technologies such as VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, and OSPF.
Automating network and system management with Ansible and GitLab CI/CD.
Managing Linux systems and network configurations on hosts, including VLANs, routing, bonding/LACP, and firewall rules.
Supporting storage and cloud platforms such as Ceph and virtualization environments.
Proactively monitoring systems and resolving incidents in production environments.
Performing upgrades, lifecycle management, and hardware replacements.
Managing and improving firewall and security solutions.
Standardizing configurations and documentation within our data centers.
Projects you will work on No two days are the same. You will work on projects that have a direct impact on the continuity and scalability of our services. Think of: Data center migrations with minimal impact on customers.
Further developing Infrastructure as Code with Ansible.
Harmonizing configurations across multiple data center locations.
Modernizing network and Linux platforms within a complex hosting environment.
What do you bring? You have experience in a hosting, service provider, or data center environment and understand how to keep business-critical infrastructure stable, secure, and available. Additionally, you have: At least 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or a similar role.
Experience with BGP, OSPF, IPv6, VXLAN, EVPN, and high-availability designs.
Experience with Juniper networks.
Strong Linux knowledge (Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, or similar).
Experience with Ansible, Git, and infrastructure automation.
Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
Experience with firewalls, network security, and change management.
Experience with incident management and troubleshooting.
Good command of the English language.
Experience with cloud, virtualization, or storage platforms is a great plus. Knowledge of automation, monitoring, or security also forms a valuable addition to your profile.
