About the company
The One of One Group GmbH, together with YOU MAWO GmbH and Additive Scale GmbH, combines leading companies in the field of digital, custom-made eyewear and additive manufacturing. We develop and produce individually adapted glasses based on precise 3D models and data-driven processes. In doing so, we combine design, our own software solutions, and industrial additive manufacturing into a scalable platform for Product Customization.
Your tasks
You have developed software yourself and now want to help decide what is built and why, without losing touch with the how. As a Technical Product Owner, you bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. You speak on equal footing with your agile development team: you discuss solution approaches and make technical directional decisions yourself.
You will start in a well-established environment. Our development and release processes are functional, and there is a Software Architect for the macro-architecture. However, your ideas for improvements are always welcome. Your energy flows into product, technology, and AI innovation.
- Product Ownership & Backlog: You are responsible for the Product Backlog, write precise User Stories, and prioritize features. In doing so, you consciously weigh and justify rapid business value (Time-to-Market) against technical quality (Tech-Debt).
- Technical Decisions on Equal Footing: Within the predefined macro-architecture (GCP, Microservices), you help shape the "how" in detail, for example, API design, data structures, payloads, frontend/backend communication, and component interfaces. You decide yourself or develop solutions together with the developers.
- AI Integration & Product Innovation: You evaluate where Generative AI, LLMs, and Machine Learning bring real added value to our products. You bring these features into our existing systems in a pragmatic and user-centric manner.
- Interface & Translator: You work closely with the Software Architect, development team, product management, and management, translating between these worlds.
- Further Developing Processes: You provide impulses to specifically improve proven workflows.
Requirements
- Developer Background (Must): You have worked for several years in practice as a software developer, ideally in a web environment (e.g., Java, Python, or Angular).
- Product Experience: You have initial experience as a (Technical) Product Owner, Tech Lead with product responsibility, or Product-Minded Engineer in an agile environment.
- Education: You have studied Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable subject, or you bring an equivalent practical background.
- Tech Stack: You are familiar with part of our stack and can familiarize yourself with the rest as needed: GCP, Microservices, Docker, Kafka, Angular, Java, Python, MySQL, Apache/Tomcat, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines.
- AI Mindset: You are seriously interested in AI in products and want to bring models into production, not just show them in demos.
- Way of Working: You are a strategist with a hands-on mentality and are solution-oriented. You explain complex topics understandably, make decisions, and defend them with sound reasoning.
- Languages: You speak fluent English.
