Ylöjärven Yrityspalvelu Oy is seeking a Business Development Specialist for a permanent position. We offer a versatile and responsible role where you will have the opportunity to influence the development of the city's business life through communication, marketing, business advisory, and the promotion of tourism.

About the role

The task of the Business Development Specialist is to contribute to the business development of Ylöjärvi and support the implementation of the business services produced by Ylöjärven Yrityspalvelu for the city. You will be responsible for the communication and marketing of Ylöjärven Yrityspalvelu and Visit Ylöjärvi, participate in the advisory and guidance of startup and existing companies, be responsible for the development of tourism, and plan and implement the events and occasions of Yrityspalvelu. You will act actively in cooperation with companies, entrepreneur organizations, the city, employment services, educational institutions, and other stakeholders.

The role offers the opportunity to do impactful development work as part of a small and agile expert organization. The job description can be emphasized according to the expertise of the selected person and the current needs of Ylöjärven Yrityspalvelu.

Key tasks

• Planning, implementation, and development of the business communication and marketing of Ylöjärven Yrityspalvelu
• Coordinating the communication and marketing of Visit Ylöjärvi as well as the content updates of the Visit Ylöjärvi website
• Maintenance and development of social media channels and newsletters
• Advisory and active guidance of startup and existing companies toward various development, financing, and training services
• Development of tourism and tourism marketing in cooperation with tourism companies and regional actors
• Coordination, planning, and implementation of occasions, events, and exhibition participations
• Other tasks belonging to the field of activity of Ylöjärven Yrityspalvelu.

• A suitable higher education degree in the commercial or administrative field
• Experience in tasks related to business development, communication, and marketing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as good English language skills
• Good digital skills and experience in utilizing websites, social media, and digital marketing
• A customer-oriented service attitude and readiness for business advisory
• The ability to organize events and coordinate multiple entities simultaneously
• An active and proactive working style
• Ability to cooperate and the skill to build and maintain networks
