COMPUTER NUMERICAL CONTROL (CNC) PROGRAMMER

Job Description & Requirements Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, drilling, and other machining operations.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements.

Develop CNC programs using G-code and CAM software.

Select appropriate cutting tools, work-holding methods, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies.

Set up and prove out CNC programs, including tool offsets and work coordinates.

Conduct program simulations and identify potential machining or collision issues before production.

Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining problems and implement corrective actions.

Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity, tool life, quality, and material utilization.

Work closely with machinists, engineers, quality personnel, and production teams.

Ensure finished components meet dimensional and quality requirements.

Maintain and update CNC programs, tooling records, setup sheets, and related documentation.

Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Support continuous improvement activities and reduce machining time, scrap, and production costs. Requirements Proven experience as a CNC Programmer , CNC Machinist, or similar manufacturing role.

Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and G-code/M-code programming.

Experience with CNC milling and/or turning machines.

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360, or equivalent .

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, work-holding, and tooling selection.

Good understanding of precision measurement and inspection equipment.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

Willingness to work shifts and to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines,with flexbility to work extended hours when required.
