About the company

Xwander Nordic designs and implements high-quality Lapland trips for international guests. We are now looking for a driver and guide for the winter season 2026–2027 in Ivalo. The role has four sides: driving, guiding, events, and shifts as Santa Claus.

Your tasks

The guest's day begins and ends in your vehicle. You transport guests from the airport to accommodation and activities between Ivalo, Inari, and Saariselkä. Driving takes place daily in darkness and freezing temperatures, and trips are long. You are also responsible for the daily condition of the fleet.

Upon arrival, you act as an assistant guide: you receive the group, take care of equipment, and inform the guest what happens next. In events, you act as a host.

The Santa Claus shift is not given to just anyone, and it is not just about putting on a costume. It is done on the terms of children and families; a short encounter can stay in a child's memory for a lifetime. We expect from you:

Requirements

• B-category driver's license and confident driving skills in winter conditions
• Fluent English
• Ability to act calmly in varying situations

We consider an advantage

• Guiding experience or nature guide training
• Valid first aid training
• Experience working with children and families
• Additional languages: French, German, Spanish, or Italian

• Vehicle, work clothes, work phone, meals as part of activities
• Xwander Academy training. Some courses provide a qualification granted by an external party, which remains with you even after the season
• Opportunity to continue for subsequent seasons and advance in your career
• Full-time work. Regular working hours average 120 h / 3 weeks. In a leveling system, the working hours for a single three-week period can be a maximum of 144 hours
