Network Engineer

About the role

At Xtremax, we build mission-critical digital platforms and software solutions for public sector and enterprise clients. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Network Engineer to join our project delivery team.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with at least 5 years in network architecture, solution design, or technical consultancy.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale on-premises enterprise network infrastructure , including campus networks, data centers, WAN, Internet edge, and wireless environments.
• Experience designing and supporting hybrid network architectures integrating on-premises infrastructure with Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and/or Government Commercial Cloud Plus (GCC+) environments.
• Strong understanding of data center networking, including core, distribution, and access layer design, network segmentation, redundancy, and high availability.
• Experience with hybrid connectivity technologies such as ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and Direct Connect (or equivalent).
• Experience working within Singapore Government agencies or Statutory Boards is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Singapore Government ICT policies, cybersecurity requirements, and cloud governance frameworks is an advantage.
• Experience leading network design reviews, architecture governance, technical assurance, and project consultancy across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Mandatory Certification

Must possess a valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

• Enterprise campus wired and wireless networks, including LAN/WAN, switches, wireless controllers, access points, RF fundamentals, secure access, and client connectivity
• Data centre networks, including core, distribution, and access switching
• Physical network patching, cable tracing, labelling, port verification, and troubleshooting of copper and fibre cabling, patch panels, switch ports, accesspoints, and end-user connectivity
• Internet Edge and DMZ Architecture
• Network Segmentation and Micro-segmentation
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery Network Design
• Load Balancers and Reverse Proxies
• IP Address Management (IPAM)
• Network Monitoring and Performance Management
• Incident tracking and lifecycle management, including ticket ownership, prioritisation,escalation, root-cause coordination, resolution monitoring, trend analysis, and timely management reporting on status, impact, risks, and corrective actions

• Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and Government Commercial Cloud Plus (GCC+) networking
