Requirements

Role Overview We are looking for a technically strong Senior Fund Accountant with solid fund accounting fundamentals and hands-on NAV experience.

The successful candidate should understand the accounting logic underlying NAV calculations and be able to independently review, validate and, where necessary, reconstruct NAV calculations using Excel.

Strong professional judgment and accounting fundamentals are more important to us than familiarity with any particular fund accounting system.

Candidate Profile • Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, fund administration or a related role.

• Strong hands-on fund accounting capability, with the ability to independently understand, validate and, where necessary, reconstruct NAV calculations using Excel.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and NAV mechanics.

• Strong experience in general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, investment valuation, management and performance fee calculations and capital accounts.

• Strong Excel skills and the ability to build, review and maintain robust NAV calculation models and supporting schedules.

• Demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies, investigate breaks and resolve accounting or valuation issues independently.

• Experience with fund accounting systems is useful, while strong accounting fundamentals and professional judgment are considered essential.

• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and able to explain fund accounting or NAV-related matters clearly and professionally.

• A client-oriented mindset and interest in developing broader commercial responsibilities would be an advantage.

• Familiarity with automation, data analytics, AI tools or other emerging technologies would be an advantage.

• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CA or CPA would be an advantage but are not mandatory.
