About the company:

Xin Point México is a Chinese-origin company in the automotive sector, specialized in injection, plating, painting, and assembly processes of plastic components for the automotive industry. We are looking for talent for the METROLOGY ENGINEER vacancy.

We need:

• Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, Electromechanical, or related Engineering.
• Intermediate English.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in metrology or quality, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Experience in the use of CMM, OMM, and/or 3D scanner equipment.
• Familiarity with ZEISS CALYPSO for the operation and adjustment of CMM measurement programs.
• Experience in calibration and verification of measuring instruments and equipment.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and quality regulations applicable to the automotive industry.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, tolerances, and technical specifications.
• Management of technical documentation and records.
• Analytical skill, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Good handling of office software, especially spreadsheets.
• Living in Lagos de Moreno or having the availability to commute or relocate.

Main responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise the metrology operator team.
• Plan and supervise measurement, calibration, and verification activities for equipment, fixtures, gages, and instruments.
• Operate and perform adjustments to measurement programs on CMM, OMM, and 3D scanner equipment, mainly through ZEISS CALYPSO.
• Validate measurement methods, analyze results, and ensure the reliability of dimensional measurements.
• Keep the calibration and verification plan updated, ensuring compliance in a timely manner.
• Coordinate metrology activities related to new projects, engineering tests, and product validation.
• Supervise the area's technical documentation and records, as well as attend to audits and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality, Production, and Engineering regarding the attention to deviations and requirements related to measurement and metrology.
• Train and develop area personnel in procedures, equipment, and metrology best practices.
