Senior Data Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes across cloud data platforms.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
• Engage stakeholders to understand business processes, data challenges, and reporting needs.
• Develop and optimize data models, transformations, and workflows using Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to support downstream data consumption.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipeline and platform performance.
• Produce business and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong experience in Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and process documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and business users.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Power BI.
• Experience working in Azure cloud environments.
• Exposure to data architecture and modern data platform practices.
