Lead Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in network solution design, infrastructure modernisation, and project delivery initiatives, ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available network services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including campus networks, data centres, WAN, Internet edge, and wireless networks.
• Develop and support hybrid networking solutions integrating on-premises environments with Microsoft Azure, Government Commercial Cloud (GCC), and Government Commercial Cloud Plus (GCC+) platforms.
• Lead network design reviews, technical assessments, and solution validation activities.
• Design resilient network architectures with appropriate segmentation, redundancy, security, and high availability.
• Manage hybrid connectivity solutions, including ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPN, MPLS, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Provide technical consultancy and guidance to stakeholders, project teams, and vendors.
• Support infrastructure transformation and network enhancement projects from planning through implementation.
• Perform network capacity planning, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure compliance with organisational security, governance, and operational standards.
• Support procurement activities related to network infrastructure equipment and professional services where required.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with experience leading network design and infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale enterprise network environments.
• Experience with hybrid cloud networking and integration between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Singapore Government ICT environments, GCC/GCC+, or government security and governance frameworks is advantageous.
• Experience working with vendors, stakeholders, and cross-functional project teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
