Frontend Engineer

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive, and accessible web applications. You will work closely with product, project, and UX teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions while adhering to software engineering, security, and accessibility best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and Project teams to analyse user stories and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, scalable, and accessible frontend applications using modern web technologies.
• Build reusable UI components and implement frontend architecture that supports maintainability and performance.
• Develop user interfaces based on UX/UI designs and ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Implement frontend security best practices and remediate vulnerabilities identified through security assessments.
• Integrate and support application security tools such as SonarQube, Fortify on Demand, and other code quality solutions.
• Support web application security testing activities, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and frontend deployment processes.
• Document technical designs, architectural decisions, and development best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of frontend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience developing applications using Vue.js. Exposure to React or Angular will be advantageous.
• Good understanding of modern frontend architecture, component-based development, and responsive web design.
• Experience translating UI/UX designs into intuitive and accessible web applications.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, code quality, testing, maintainability, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and frontend build/deployment processes.
• Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications on cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience using Storybook for UI component development and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering or supporting projects in the Singapore Government or public sector.
• Familiarity with Government Instruction Manual 8 (IM8) and Digital Service Standards (DSS).
• Exposure to application security testing, vulnerability management, and secure software development practices
