For an important client operating in the maritime sector, we are looking for a: TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT - DECK & ENGINE

The resource will be placed within the Fleet Technical Operations & Asset Management Department, reporting directly to the Technical Superintendent Manager with the aim of ensuring, in close collaboration with all company departments on board and ashore, the correct maintenance and operability of the ships in accordance with current regulations, good technical practice, international standards, internal procedures, and company needs.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Planning and execution of scheduled inspections in accordance with the SMS manual, including fluid analysis, management of critical spare parts, and ship and shore warehouses;
  • Management of PMS activities, including planning, scheduling, and execution of ordinary and extraordinary technical maintenance interventions, for the purpose of maximizing the ship's operational continuity and preventing functional breakdowns;
  • Procurement of necessary materials, spare parts, consumables, landing services, and material repairs, through technical-economic analysis and subsequent action on Purchase Requests, discussing real needs with the Ship's Command and the Technical Superintendent Manager, evaluating remaining quantities in ship warehouses, and cooperating with the purchasing office in the technical selection of the supplier, in compliance with the assigned budget;
  • Continuous operational assistance and technical indications to ships for the management of malfunctions, emergencies, accidents, and breakdowns, interfacing and exchanging updates with the Maritime Support Center when necessary;
  • Analysis of the operational performance of ship machinery and the crew, to ensure efficiency in ship conduct.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's Degree in Naval Engineering or Chief Engineer Title;
  • Previous experience in the role of TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT in the technical management of ships (preferably passenger ships and/or Ro/Ro PAX) or alternatively in the role of CHIEF ENGINEER on board a ship (at least 5 years).
  • Good knowledge of the English language (B2);
  • Good knowledge of the Office Package;
  • Good knowledge of maintenance management programs.

Frequent travel availability is required.

  • The expected remuneration is within a range between 70/85 K, defined based on the contractual classification, the duties provided, and the characteristics of the position + MBO.
