Design Engineer

Do you already have experience in building services or structural engineering design, and is 3D modeling familiar to you? Would you like to use your design expertise in a role where you get to work closely with customers, sales, and other experts?

We are looking for a design engineer to join the expert and engineering team of Würth's construction division. Our team supports our field sales in customer projects of various sizes and works in close cooperation with customers, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

As a design engineer, you are responsible for the design of Würth Varifix support solutions for building and construction sites across Finland. The work combines technical design, practical project work, customer cooperation, and supporting field sales.

You will design, among other things, support solutions for HVAC, electrical, building automation, cooling, structural, and industrial installations, as well as prefabrications for building services. Your work includes load calculations, selection of product assemblies and materials, and the preparation of technical 2D and 3D drawings, information models, details, and material lists. Additionally, you will advise customers and our sales organization on technical questions and participate in site inspections if necessary.

What do we expect from you?

The role is suitable, for example, for a professional who has worked for a few years in HVAC, building services, or structural design. We particularly require an understanding of 3D modeling, and we value experience in CAD design. You may use tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MagiCAD, or SolidWorks.

Suitable technical education, such as a degree as an HVAC, mechanical, or structural engineer, or a graduate engineer (diplomi-insinööri), provides a good foundation for the position. Education as an HVAC, mechanical, or construction technician, or a master builder, may also be suitable for the role.

In addition to technical expertise, you need a practical and proactive work attitude, as well as the ability to cooperate persistently with both your own team and customers. We value an understanding of building and construction installations as well as mechanical strength calculations and dimensioning. The position also requires English language skills and a readiness to travel within the country.
