The WSP Rail Fire Engineering Team; with a supportive leadership, is made up of individuals with all levels of experience and are based in multiple locations. As a very collaborative, cooperative one team approach we collectively have extensive knowledge in fire safety engineering in Railways and Road infrastructure and all other associated ancillary buildings. We develop fire engineering design for Rail and Road infrastructure from concept design stage through to construction, assurance and commissioning as well as carrying out fire risk assessments and finding solutions for retrofitting within existing and challenging infrastructures. Your tasks

A little more about your role… Fire Engineering is an integral part of developing all Infrastructure designs. At WSP we are looking for people to join our high performing, dynamic and enthusiastic Railways Fire Engineering Team.

To meet the ever-growing demand, we are looking for individuals to work on Railways and Road Tunnels Fire Engineering, both in the area of design and development of Fire Safety Design as well as Fire Systems Engineering (specifically, fire detection, alarm, fire suppression and fire hydrant design).

Our projects include small-scale projects to very large-scale projects. WSP have been and are involved with several high-profile projects including High Speed 2 (HS2) stations; Old Oak Common, Curzon Street and Euston, HS2 Tunnels, Crossrail stations, numerous London Underground (LU) and Network Rail (NR) refurbishment projects. We are also involved in Rail and Road Tunnels projects internationally.

• Entwicklung und Leitung von Brandschutzstrategien und -konzepten für komplexe Infrastrukturprojekte im Schienen- und Straßenverkehr.
• Durchführung umfassender Brandrisikobewertungen und -analysen, einschließlich leistungsbasierter Ansätze, für Tunnel, Bahnhöfe und Straßeninfrastruktur.
• Sicherstellung der Einhaltung relevanter nationaler und internationaler Brandschutzvorschriften, Normen und Richtlinien (z.B. EN, VDI, EBA) für Schienen- und Straßenprojekte.
• Übernahme der technischen Projektleitung für Brandschutzthemen, Koordination mit internen und externen Stakeholdern sowie Behörden.
• Bereitstellung von fachlicher Expertise und Beratung für Projektteams sowie Mentoring und Entwicklung von Nachwuchsingenieuren.

Requirements

Du hast einen Haupt- oder Mittelschulabschluss, scheust dich nicht vor körperlicher Arbeit und obendrein interessierst du dich für Technik.
