ICT FACILITIES TECHNICIAN
Job Responsibilities Perform day-to-day installation, operation, and maintenance of IT services in compliance with safety regulations.
Manage offsite backup tape handling and maintenance.
Provide iPort operations support including maintenance of cranes, lighting masts, and onsite power systems.
Conduct visual inspections of network devices, power cables, UTP, and fibre cables to identify damages and fibre losses.
Carry out ICT cabling works including termination of low-voltage electrical cables, fibre optic cables, and structured cabling related to data centre operations.
Supervise and escort contractors for hardware replacement and maintenance activities.
Assist in relocation and redeployment of IT hardware such as network switches and servers.
Perform basic network and PC troubleshooting.
Coordinate with business units and vendors to resolve technical issues, including patch cord installation, circuit testing, and troubleshooting.
Provide progress updates to users, maintain documentation and databases, and support other IT-related activities as required.
Requirements Experience in the telecommunications/data centre related industry in the operational field for at least 2 years.
Experience in network cabling installation and maintenance.
Possess a Certificate from Institute of Technical Education ("ITE") in a relevant course.
Possesses a Class 3 driving licence for vehicles and be able to work independently without supervision.
