WPW performs piping, steel, and equipment contracts as well as maintenance services, with systematic precision, safety, and transparency – with assignments within, among others, process industry, energy, and steel industry across Sweden.
About the position
In the role of Pipe Fitter, you work out in projects and are responsible for assembly and preparation work according to drawings and instructions. You have a central role in ensuring that the work maintains the right quality from the start, and that the basis and conditions for welding and installation are correct.
You work closely with both welders and management and actively contribute to ensuring efficient and quality-assured deliveries.
Responsibilities and main tasks
- Fetch and check material according to drawings and work instructions
- Ensure that assembly is performed according to drawing and specification
- Perform self-checks according to instruction
- Prepare joints according to WPS, isometrics, and work instructions
- Ensure that documentation is continuously filled in correctly
- Follow up that weld lists are reported by welders
- Ensure that the work meets quality and environmental requirements
- Ensure that delivered work meets the customer's requirements for function and performance
- Assist with welding work if needed
- Perform visual inspection of welds (if needed)
- Create punch lists for deviations or incomplete work
- Maintain order and tidiness at the workplace
- Check and maintain equipment, tools, and protective equipment
- Handle and return leftover material
- Report deviations according to current routines
- Contribute to improvements in working methods and the work environment

It is highly meritorious if you have experience in industrial projects and contracting work, as well as work with steel structures and piping systems. Experience working in project environments with high quality requirements is also seen as an advantage.
Qualifications
- Good ability to read and interpret technical drawings (isometric, P&ID, GA, assembly)
- Ability to work according to WPS and work instructions
- Certificate for Heta Arbeten
- Certificate for Säkra lyft
- B-driver's license
- Good knowledge of English
Meritorious
- Certification for visual inspection of welds
- Knowledge of SS-EN 1090-1, SS-EN 3834 and SS-EN 5817

Our recruitment process
