About the Team We develop human-centric automated driving solutions for both personal and commercial use. We also develop perception technology and its commercialized software for AD/ADAS systems. To achieve highly reliable and practical systems, we tackle complex real-world problems by utilizing large-scale data, machine learning algorithms, and various perception technologies.

Desired Candidate You balance cutting-edge technology and safety standards while considering cost optimization. You are an expert in neural networks and software engineering, persistently completing the processes required for mass production development, and working with a "Giver" mindset, asking "How can I help?"

You prefer a hybrid work style and will report to the head of the Perception Engineering department for AD/ADAS, commuting to the Nihonbashi office three days a week.

Job Description Formulate data strategies regarding the collection, sampling, labeling, handling, and utilization of vast amounts of data obtained from markets, test vehicles, and simulators, contributing to the performance improvement of machine learning models for the perception stack used in camera images installed in millions of vehicles.

Design and improve scalable data pipelines and automation for machine learning and performance evaluation.

Analyze large-scale data to understand its characteristics and propose technical solutions for machine learning and performance evaluation.

Lead data-related activities within the team and across the entire company, including collaboration with the Toyota Group, and enhance the data science capabilities of team members.

Requirements 5+ years of experience in the AD/ADAS, robotics, or computer vision industry or research fields.

3+ years of experience in data science or related fields, including theory such as machine learning (deep learning, statistical analysis, mathematical models, etc.).

Software development experience using Python for data science (numpy, scipy, scikit, pandas), databases, and cloud platform services (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field.

Business-level English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications Master's or PhD in a related field.

5+ years of experience in data science or related fields.

2+ years of experience in a technical lead or management role in data science or related fields for business applications such as product development, commercial services, or public service development.

The following practical experience: 　　　・Analysis of massive databases, such as petabyte-scale. 　　　・Development of perception-related technologies such as camera image processing, computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning. 　　　・Design of data annotation rules for machine learning. 　　　・Experience building and managing infrastructure such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions. 　　　・Work experience in the automotive industry (especially the AD/ADAS field).

Business-level Japanese proficiency (especially smooth reading, writing, and listening).
