About the Team Our DevOps team is responsible for repository management, build automation, continuous integration, software quality assurance, and tools for compliance for product development such as AD/ADAS software, based on ISO26262 requirements.
Requirements This role focuses on supporting the ecosystem, including software used to operate, test, train, and verify the performance and safety of autonomous vehicles. This includes the operation of multiple large-scale C/C++ codebases for autonomous driving system development, development using Ubuntu with build/test tools, construction and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines/systems, and support for many critical software systems required for daily software development. Since the role is primarily support-oriented, it involves collaboration with various engineering sub-teams. Therefore, building relationships with the sub-teams you support is a highly valued skill. Finally, we are looking for a team player who is interested in software-related problem-solving and debugging.
Responsibilities Integration and combining of multiple large-scale C/C++ software stacks/projects for autonomous driving system development.
Development and maintenance of core software systems required for general software development:
Build & Test (Bazel)
Source code and dependency management/software deployment
Construction of developer build environments (Ubuntu)
Storage management (Artifactory, AWS S3, etc.)
Caching (BuildBarn, internal solutions)
CI/CD (Github Actions)
Support for on-premises Hardware-in-the-Loop (HILS) and test benches
Daily operational support for autonomous driving sub-teams (Perception, Planner, Control, Data, etc.):
Collaborating with other developers to verify build errors in their respective projects
Proposing best practices and providing technical support regarding builds and CI to other developers
Assisting in the introduction and configuration of build/CI setups for new development projects
Driving the maintenance of build/CI infrastructure and resource optimization according to usage requirements
Researching, evaluating, and introducing new systems for software source code and dependency management
Management of workstation development environments, including OS images, repositories, build tools, Docker containers, etc.
Requirements Experience with C/C++ (C++14 or later)
Practical experience in development, operation, and maintenance of CI/CD environments
Extensive experience with Linux operating systems in general
Extensive experience using Git in projects involving many developers
General experience using Bazel in large-scale projects
General experience with scripting languages (bash, Python, etc.)
5+ years of practical experience in related fields
Business-level English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications Experience with modern C++ (C++17 or later)
General experience with software development best practices
Some knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)
Some knowledge of standard IaC tools (Terraform or similar)
Experience with compiler toolchain configuration (Clang, GCC, NVCC, etc.)
Some experience with Python packaging
Business-level Japanese proficiency
