Your tasks

POSITION SUMMARY World Relief seeks a manager to lead its growing Donations Management Team. This role is accountable for the timely, accurate, secure, and donor-centered processing of charitable contributions across giving channels. This role establishes operational standards, supervises staff, owns policies and controls, collaborates with Advancement, Finance, IT, and other partners, and ensures donation records, receipting, fund coding, reconciliation, and donor service are completed with integrity. The Manager serves as the primary escalation point for complex gift-processing issues and ensures the function remains aligned with organizational priorities, accepted nonprofit gift-administration practices, and audit-ready documentation. As World Relief continues to expand, it is vital that this role is someone who can also have a vision for the future of how we can provide world class donations management services.

  • Oversee end-to-end processing and quality for checks, ACH and wires, credit and debit card gifts, recurring gifts, stock, cryptocurrency, workplace and payroll giving, donor-advised or third-party gifts, event platforms, and other current or emerging donation channels.
  • Ensure donor and gift records are consistently and accurately coded in Raiser's Edge and connected platforms, and ensure Fund IDs and related accounting codes align with general ledger requirements.
  • Direct recurring quality assurance, platform audits, exception review, and corrective-action follow-up; identify root causes and remove operational barriers that affect processing speed, accuracy, donor experience, or financial reporting.
  • Oversee donor service and escalations involving declined transactions, recurring gift changes, address and communication preference updates, receipts, refunds, returns, and other donation questions.
  • Oversee monthly reconciliations for online credit card, direct debit, and other giving streams; review pull-through submissions and fund summary reporting; partner with Finance to resolve variances and maintain audit-ready support.
  • Coordinate with the Raiser's Edge Database Administrator and other system owners on fiscal-year readiness, year-end tax statements, fund maintenance, access, integrations, and system or process changes affecting donations.
  • Build productive cross-functional relationships with Advancement, Finance, front-office/mail processing, Technology, fundraising teams, vendors, and distributed processing partners; clarify ownership, handoffs, service expectations, and escalation paths.
  • Prepare and manage the team budget, vendor and facility needs, and operational planning; visit the donation-processing facility at least annually or as business needs require.
  • Define and monitor meaningful operational measures such as turnaround time, accuracy, exceptions, unresolved items, and donor-service responsiveness; use trends to prioritize training and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain current knowledge of charitable gift administration and data stewardship practices, recommend improvements, and ensure appropriate confidentiality and safeguarding of donor and payment information.
  • Serve as the final operational decision-maker and escalation point for complex, unusual, or high-risk gifts within delegated authority, and elevate legal, tax, compliance, cybersecurity, reputational, or donor-intent concerns to the appropriate organizational owner.
  • Oversee and execute special projects as assigned
