About the Role We are looking for an experienced and well-connected Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation and develop new employer partnerships across the West Midlands. This is a relationship-led business development role, ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the business community, attending networking events and building strong relationships with employers, HR professionals and senior decision-makers. You will identify the challenges businesses are facing around recruitment, retention, skills and workforce development, and introduce relevant apprenticeship and training solutions to help address those needs.

Key Responsibilities Develop new employer relationships and generate business opportunities across the West Midlands. Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, senior leaders, HR professionals and other key stakeholders. Identify employer needs and introduce appropriate apprenticeship, training and workforce development solutions. Represent the organisation at networking events, business forums, industry meetings and other relevant events. Build, manage and maintain a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities. Convert new opportunities into successful employer partnerships and learner starts. Achieve and exceed agreed business development, sales and learner start targets. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for account growth. Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth and positive client journey.

About You We are looking for someone who is confident, commercially minded and comfortable developing relationships at all levels. You will ideally have: Proven experience in B2B sales, business development or employer engagement. An established network within the West Midlands business community. A proactive approach to networking, with experience attending business events and generating opportunities through relationship building. A strong track record of winning new business and developing existing accounts. Confidence engaging with business owners, senior leaders and other decision-makers. A consultative approach to sales, with the ability to understand business challenges and identify appropriate solutions. A self-motivated and target-driven approach. Own transport and the flexibility to travel across the region.
